Devotion, Obedience and Discipline

Beginning with Acts 2:42, David Hood exhorts the listener to follow the example of the early Church in devotion to “the apostles’ teaching, the fellowship and breaking of bread”. He then goes on to speak from Psalms 1 and 119 of the blessedness of obedience to the laws, or statutes, of God, which are given for our protection and direction.

Then, David visits the book of Proverbs and uses many verses to teach the principles of the disciplined life. “We must maintain discipline”, says David, “in order to go forward.”

This message is both encouraging and challenging as we seek to walk with God and to fulfill His plan for our lives.
