Fathering and Sonship

From the beginning God had revealed Himself to be a personal God, but more amazing is this; when Christ came in the flesh as the great revelation of God, He revealed God to be God in Father and Son.

God as Father and Son,

Over the last few decades as apostolic concepts have been explored around the world, there has frequently been a tendency towards external things. It's easy to observe what can be seen and praise the latest, greatest things happening. Big ministries who plant many churches can seem apostolic, and because they do much good, that seems to validate them as such.

Over the last 20 years, John Alley, and Peace Apostolic Ministries has travelled and ministered in about 40 nations, and on every continent. (excluding Antarctica) This has been a journey of love, and the Lord strongly impressed that we were to "take an apostolic message to the nations," and more importantly to "keep looking into the eyes of Jesus."

The majority of our ministry has been at our own expense, and the Lord has faithfully kept us. We acknowledge His goodness with this, and have come to depend on Him for all we do.

David Hood from Peace Apostolic Ministries has just returned from Myanmar after having spent several weeks of ministry there. Pictured is a group of attendees at an apostolic school just two weeks ago.

Myanmar is a developing nation that has been through many changes in recent years, and most importantly, the grace of God is taking hold and the kingdom is growing.

Lloyd Gill has just spent the last few weeks in Africa ministering in Tanzania and then Kenya. The gospel is flourishing in sub-saharan Africa, and non more evident in these nations. The gospel is beginning to take a foothold in the top half of Africa too, as prayer has an effect, and other factors like terrorism turn the thoughts of muslim people to look for alternatives.

Uganda is a nation with a very high percentage of Christians, which is surprising given that just 40 years ago, it was in the grip of Idi Amin, a muslim dictator and the church was suffering. Bishops, such as Festo Kivengere had to escape through the mountains as church leaders were being executed and killed.

In the documentary Transformations II by George Otis Jnr, he describes how Christians would hide in the forests to meet and pray for their nation. It was a time of suffering and purging for the Church.

For many years we have prayed that the doors of ministry to Europe would open to us. Even though we have as a ministry been to England and Ireland many times, it was really mainline Europe where we have not had opportunity to do much.

God has given us an important message and work to do, and even though we have been extensively to many other parts of the world, it seemed hard to get into non English speaking Europe.

However God has heard our prayers, and last week John Alley completed ministry at a significant multi-national conference in Zurich.

The last two weeks Michael Appleton has been in India visiting, encouraging and strengthening pastors and churchs, serving them wholeheartedly and seeing great grace released through it all.

We have deep relationships in a number of places in India, but no more than in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with Pastor Premnath and Priya Samuels, and in Bhimavaram, Andra Pradesh with Pastor John and Prasanthi Christian. They are dear people, and the reports coming home from Michael have shown the heart in these people, and the goodness of God that continues to increase wherever his people are.

I am now in Entebbe airport after just on two weeks in Uganda. This has been a very productive trip. I have had the opportunity to speak into the lives of a number of pastors who work in some of the more difficult places. These men and women will largely be unknown outside of their local areas, but serve God faithfully bringing the gospel to their people. These were amongst the most receptive groups of people I have had the pleasure to minister.
