Turkey Prayer Journey

Turkey Prayer Journey

The modern country of Turkey, the ancient land of Anatolia, is a great place to go on a prayer journey, and we are sending a few people there to do just that next month.

The land of Turkey is filled with Biblical locations, and not just the New Testament sites like Ephesus.  Aside from the seven churches of Revelation, and a number of places like the Galatian Churches, Colossae, Antioch and more, there are also Old Testament locations too.  You can visit Eastern Turkey and see Mt Ararat and central southern Turkey where Abraham and Jacob lived near Haran.

So visiting for prayer and to see Biblical sites is wonderful in its own right.  But the nation of Turkey also needs our prayers.  It needs your prayers.  Visiting in person for a prayer journey means you are able to pray for its people right there on site.  In the time of the early church, the land was filled with many churches, but today there are few churches.  This is historically because of the Muslim conquest and Muslim rule where Christianity found it harder to flourish.  But there have always been believers in that land this entire time from the time of the New Testament until today.

Would you pray for us to be safe as we undertake our prayer journey.  Pray for open doors and that we are able to pray good and effective prayers while we are there.
